28 Entertainment is a Los Angeles-based film development, production and finance company, co-founded in 2008 by the father and son team of Jay Hoffman and Brian A. Hoffman.
In 2009 28 Entertainment produced and released their first feature, the award-winning wine themed "mockumentary", corked!. corked! went on to delight festival audiences worldwide, garnering the audience-award at the Oenovideo Film Festival in France. corked! was also an official selection at the Rome International Film Festival in Italy, Sonoma Valley Film Festival, Hollyshorts Film Festival in Los Angeles, and the Virginia Film Festival. corked! is currently available on DVD worldwide.
In 2011, 28 Entertainment produced Deep In The Heart, the true story of a man who hit bottom and turned his life around to become one of the largest philanthropists in Texas. Deep In The Heart won the Special Jury REMI Award at the Houston WorldFest Film Festival, and was an official selection at the Austin Film Festival. Deep In The Heart was released theatrically in the United States in 2012 and is currently available through major retailers and online platforms.

2016 will bring the release of Artist & Repertoire, a 28 Entertainment international co-production with the London-based, Capture. This music documentary follows the epic rise, fall, and rebirth of legendary DJ and trip-hop pioneer James Lavelle, and his groundbreaking genre-crossing band, UNKLE.
Brian began his career in the film business in 2002, starting out in the development departments of Working Title Films and Escape Artists and then on to feature post-production at 20th Century Fox. Over the span of his career Brian has also had the opportunity to work in various capacities on the Academy Award winners Sideways and Ray; along with other notable films, such as Taken, Asylum, and Eragon. He then went on to produce the award-winning cult-classic, corked! as well as the dramatic and uplifting, Deep In The Heart. As a producer, Brian believes in strong development and has several exciting projects in the pipeline. Brian is also an active screenwriter and member of the WGAW.
For the past 20 years, Jay has been involved with film financing, development, marketing, and production. His producing credits include, Mad Song (1999), corked! (2005), September Dawn (2007), Pure Country 2: The Gift (2010), Lt. Dan Band: For The Common Good (Gary Sinise documentary) (2011), Mother of Normandy (2011), Deep In The Heart (2012), Arroyo (2014).
